I was introduced to Melt by Audri Humphrey about 4 years ago. The first class I took was Method with Kelly Sodergren, I was hooked! This is what I had been craving! Intensity, heat, flow, balance, and a message – an amazing experience for my body, mind, and soul. It’s what I described to everyone as getting “an ass-kicking at church”.

I went on to take several more classes, but life got in the way with my busy Pilates and group fitness teaching schedule, marathon training, and family life. About a year and a half later, I hit a mental and physical wall. I couldn’t stop thinking about the way I felt after a class at Melt. So, I dialed back my teaching schedule and went back to Melt for some “me” time. Now, it takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the studio from my house, but it was worth the drive. The vibe was (and still is) super inviting, supportive, and cool.

After a few sessions, Kelly approached me about teaching. I was reluctant, as I didn’t want to jeopardize my sanctuary. With some coaxing, I started by teaching one barre class / week. I continued to grow my class offerings, teaching Lift, Cycle, and Method at both Westerville and Dublin locations.

In addition to teaching at Melt Hot Fitness, I teach Pilates on and off the Reformer, play on a year round tennis team, and stay busy as a wife and mom of two. I am a gymnastics and calisthenics enthusiast, and find that body weight training has helped me achieve many goals. As a Pilates instructor, I infuse form, alignment, and breath into every one of my class offerings. I also offer my clients information on nutrition. I have a background in the health food industry, and used to teach and develop cooking classes, curriculum, and recipes for some well-known organizations.
